Dr. James N. Thacker James N. Thacker, DDS completed his Bachelor of Science Degree at Ohio State University in 1978 and his Doctor of Dental Surgery Degree at Case Western Reserve University in 1982. Following a two year graduate residency he was awarded his degree in Orthodontics from Boston University in 1984. Dr. Thacker is a member of The American Association of Orthodontists, American Dental Association, Cincinnati Dental Society, Great Lakes Society of Orthodontists and the Eastside Study Group of Cincinnati. In February 2001 he was accredited as a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics. A Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics is an Orthodontic Specialist who has made significant achievements beyond the mandatory educational requirements of the specialty. Most recently Dr. Thacker joined the faculty of Vanderbilt University’s Medical Center Orthodontic Program as an associate clinical professor. Dr. Thacker is a certified Invisalign provider and also specializes in interdisciplinary adult care. A native of Cleveland, Ohio, Dr. Thacker and his wife have lived in Cincinnati since 1984. With his four children he enjoys family oriented activities including water and snow skiing, snow boarding, wake boarding, biking and gardening. He supports St. Ursula Villa, St. Ursula Academy, St. Xavier High School, Cincinnati Ballet and the Vocal Arts Ensemble of Cincinnati where he serves as a member of the Board of Trustees. Dr. Thacker began his orthodontic practice in 1986 in Mt. Lookout. Shortly thereafter he opened a second office in Anderson Township to meet the needs of his patients. In 1991 he expanded his Cincinnati practice to its current location, a state of the art facility in Anderson Township. In 2006, the Anderson location was awarded the Anderson Township Beautification Award for Small Businesses. In 2003 Dr. Thacker opened an office in Hillsboro, Ohio to better serve the community and his patients. These facilities allow Dr. Thacker and his staff to provide care to his patients on a much more convenient basis. Dr. Thacker is committed to creating healthy beautiful smiles that last a lifetime.
